ABOUT THE CHIEF

    Chief Cook began his law enforcement career in 1976.  In the past thirty years Chief Cook has worked for municipalities, county and state agencies.  Chief Cook has earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Criminal Justice from Southwest University. 

    Chief Cook’s certifications and licenses include a Master Peace Officer Certification, Police Instructor, Crime Prevention Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, ALERT Instructor and Arson Investigations Certification.

    Chief Cook began his employment with the Humble ISD Police Department in 1997 when he was appointed Captain.  In 2003 Chief Don Maddox retired and Solomon Cook was appointed Chief of Police of the Humble ISD Police Department.

Chief Solomon R. Cook

   Sergeant T. D. Stanford joined the Humble ISD Police Department in December, 1999. Sgt Stanford graduated from the University of Houston Criminal Justice Center Police Academy in March of 1997. Sgt Stanford began her career in law enforcement at the City of Roman Forest Police Department in 1997. Sgt. Stanford also spent time as a patrol officer with the City of Dickinson Police Department before coming to the Humble ISD Police Department.  Since 1999, Sgt. Stanford has moved her way up in the department from patrol officer, to Corporal and currently holds the rank of Sergeant.

   Currently, Sgt Stanford is the Administrative Sergeant working directly under the Chief of Police, Solomon Cook. Sgt. Stanford is involved with all aspects of the Humble ISD Police Department, directly commanding Communications, Community Services, Training, and Truancy. 

   Sergeant James Hall joined the Humble ISD Police Department in December, 2002.  Sgt. Hall's experience began as a Patrolman with the City of Rosenberg, Texas Police Department. Since 2002 Sergeant Hall was promoted from Patrolman to Investigator and, most recently, to Sergeant.

   Currently, Sgt. Hall is the Operational,  Investigations and Tactical Operations Commander. Sgt. Hall oversees the Patrol Division, Investigators and the Humble ISD Police Department's Emergency Response Team (ERT) where he also serves as the Bravo Team Leader.
